Bandonegro & Bergljot Tango Project – Concert & Milonga

The Tango Association invites you to a unique evening of live tango music, concerts and milonga at Gamla Bíó on Sunday, September 13.

Guests will be seated at round tables while a dance floor in front of the stage will remain open throughout the evening, allowing you to enjoy the music either from your seat or on the dance floor.

The evening opens with Bergljot Tango Project, a new and ambitious musical project led by Bergljót Arnalds, bringing together some of Iceland’s finest musicians. The ensemble draws inspiration from the Argentine tango tradition, combining it with Icelandic influences, new arrangements and original compositions. The result is a personal and vibrant interpretation of tango, where emotion, musical interplay and storytelling take center stage.

The special guest of the evening is Bandonegro from Poland, appearing in Iceland for the first time. Bandonegro has established a strong reputation on the international tango scene and is regarded as one of Europe’s leading tango ensembles.
