Rich Medina is an internationally acclaimed DJ, producer, recording artist, poet, journalist, curator, educator, and cultural storyteller. His relationship with music began in his family’s church and has evolved into a singular career spanning clubs, stages, classrooms, and cultural institutions worldwide.

Founder of Jump-N-Funk, North America’s original Fela Kuti tribute, Medina helped establish a blueprint for the global embrace of Afrobeat. His legendary Lil Ricky’s Rib Shack and HOME residencies have become touchstones of New York club culture. He has also served as artist-in-residence and Music Director at Dante’s HiFi+ in Miami.

Medina continues to connect music, history, community, and discovery.
