The Children's Choir of Hallgrímskirkja – Registration and first rehearsal

Hallgrímskirkja Children’s Choir gives children the opportunity to sing, explore a wide variety of music, and develop confidence, a love of singing, and teamwork in a warm, welcoming, and safe environment.
The choir is open to children aged 8–11.
Our focus is on making sure that every child has the opportunity to enjoy themselves, have fun, and experience the joy of singing together.
Throughout the year, the choir will take part in a variety of events at Hallgrímskirkja, including the Children’s Song Festival on the First Day of Summer, one of Iceland’s largest children’s choirs yearly events. The choir will also sing at family services, including one during the Advent season.
The choir’s new director is Stefán Nordal, who has extensive experience in choral music and music education.
Rehearsals are on Wednesdays, 4:30–5:30 p.m.

Registration fee: ISK 3,900 and includes a specially designed Hallgrímskirkja Children’s Choir T-shirt.
