Geoff Achison first arrived on the scene in Melbourne playing incendiary lead guitar with local blues legend ‘Dutch’ Tilders before striking out on his own with his all-star group ‘The Souldiggers’. He began writing original music for this act and also established himself as a formidable solo act on acoustic guitar. He departed for overseas in the late ‘90’s which resulted in over 20 years’ worth of international touring. He has recorded over a dozen albums and live concert recordings which have earned him numerous awards for his songwriting and production.

In 2023 Geoff also joined 70’s hitmakers ‘Stars’ on lead guitar and contributed a tasty solo on their latest single ‘One More Try’.

Now with The Algo-Rhythms, Geoff adds an exciting power trio to his repertoire of acts. An electric blues outfit which encapsulates the free-spirited music-making of the old juke joints, The Algo-Rhythms specialise in ‘reading the room’ to keep the audience on their feet with a mix of rocking blues, classic hits, and extended jams. Featuring Dean Matters on drums, Rob Dabbs on bass and led by Geoff Achison on vocals & guitar!
