ABOUT THE EVENT

For three decades, GusGus have been at the heart of Icelandic electronic music, taking their unmistakable sound from Reykjavík to audiences around the world. Over the years, the band and the festival have grown together, from the early Reykjavík club nights to international stages.

Following last year’s celebration of 30 years of GusGus, the band hosts a special Iceland Airwaves Partner Event at Austurbæjarbíó, celebrating three decades of music and an exciting new chapter for the band with new music on the way.

The night also looks towards 2027 and the 30th anniversary of Polydistortion, the landmark album that helped introduce GusGus to an international audience.
