Hrafnablót: Guðlaugar saga - Útgáfutónleikar í Tónabíói

Hrafnablót celebrates the release of its debut album, Guðlaugar saga, at Tónabíó on November 26. We’ll perform the album in full, alongside a few new songs, with Drungi and Fortíð joining us as special guests!

Formed in 2024, Hrafnablót plays sorcerous folk metal, bringing together heavy riffs and folk influences rooted in Icelandic witchcraft, folklore and the Icelandic sagas.

Guðlaugar saga is a 48-minute concept album about a young woman whose night out in Reykjavík lands her on a battlefield in Iceland’s settlement era, armed with nothing but a taser. Drawn into an ancient ritual by a mysterious spirit, Guðlaug finds herself caught between warring factions in an unfamiliar world. There, her charm and unexpected position give her more influence than she could have imagined.

We’ll bring that story to the stage from beginning to end at Tónabíó. Come hear it unfold and celebrate the release with us, Drungi and Fortíð!

The album arrives on September 11 on major streaming platforms, CD and vinyl. It was mixed by Helgi Durhuus at Stúdíó Helvíti and mastered by Lasse Lammert, whose credits include Alestorm, Gloryhammer and Wind Rose.
