Sýning á Leyni: Boaz Yosef Friedman

Boaz Yosef Friedman (b. 1994) employs a research driven practice which investigates meaning-making, playing out through painting, drawing, installation, text and objects. His work drags tropes and conventions into a state of uncanniness, where the bluntly obvious becomes the gawkingly unknowable and medium conventions start to fizzle out. He is a graduate of the Düsseldorf Art Academy and Slade School of Fine Art and is currently based in Reykjavík.
